The Fastest Path to Success – Embrace Change

If you don’t want to read it, you can watch this video.

If being who you are right now is not getting you the results you want in your life, how are you going to get the results you want in your life by staying the same? I really want you to ponder that. There are a lot of people who do not know who the fuck they are because they never really thought about it.

Everything that you are and everything that you have and don’t have is a result of your thought process. I’ll give you an example. There is this guy from Australia with no arms and legs. He uses a stub to type. This guy created a company and married a gorgeous woman and has a family.

This guy admitted that he had trials and tribulations. He was depressed at times, but he kept going. Understand, he was able to do something that many people without any physical disabilities have been unable to do. He was able to build a life and have a family.

There are many people who are able-bodied and attractive people who hate to wake up in the morning. They self-medicate with drugs, alcohol and crazy behavior. They absolutely hate waking up, yet they look good. For some people, the bar for being successful is really low. If they look good physically and have a degree and a good job, they are viewed as successful.

For some people, that is painfully inadequate, because they are not looking at those core drivers. They’re not doing what they want to do. They’re not doing something that makes them happy. These people are often told they should be happy because they have it so good. But they’re not happy because they aren’t doing what they want.

How do you facilitate change and remain the same person you are? I have a very simple answer. You can’t. If you continue to stay the same person, you will continue to yield the same results.

I thought I had reached the highest point possible for my life in the storage auction business. I was fulfilled spiritually. I was fulfilled financially. It was everything. After getting out of it, I realized something else.

I’m not the same person that I was when I was in the business. I couldn’t do what I am doing today with the same mentality that I could do the storage auction business. That’s why I had to really change myself. I look at things totally different now, because of my personal evolution. Everyone has the opportunity to evolve or to stagnate.

Let’s talk about some really ugly things like friendships. There is a group of people in your life who can be a cheerleader for you even when they remain stagnant because they care about you. That is rare. Unfortunately, most people will look at the mirror you are holding up in front of their face and will hate you internally and will actually try to knock you off course. It will be very subtle and vile.

So, if you’ve got a group of friends who enjoy your success and are very happy for you, you better hold onto them. They don’t come along that often.

As far as friends go, there are some people you will have to get rid of. They can’t go along with you as you evolve. They will hold you back.

Any person who has achieved stunning success has gone through a personal evolution. When I say stunning, I’m talking about Bill Gates, Mother Theresa and Martin Luther King, Jr., to name a few.  All of these people have gone through a serious personal evolution.

You can’t keep people who can’t deal with your success in your life. You must eject them because their energy will taint your path. That’s cold and harsh, but it’s true.

You may have to let go of some family members. I know for some people they won’t consider that. I’ve seen how some people prostitute that family bond. They believe if you fuck up, your family is always there for you. I grew up in an era when family members were disowned. If you fucked up the family name, people let you go. You can’t save everyone.

Understand, there’s love. There’s loyalty and then there is personal behavior. You can’t love someone out of bad personal behavior. You can love them and you can hope for the best, but everyone makes these choices.

You cannot stay the same and reach your potential which is counter to one thing this society preaches. One belief you will hear is that if you change, you are selling out. This is my definition of selling out. It’s doing something that you don’t want to do. That’s selling out to me.

If you want to do it, I don’t see how that is selling out. I see the nobility in struggle when it helps you move to a higher place. When people perpetually remain poor in the name of living a spiritual life, that’s some bullshit. They seem to think there is something inherently wrong with making money.

Are you ready to be successful? Are you ready to make the changes you need to make to be successful? I can tell you from experience, when I had an entitlement mindset or was trying to save the world, I was miserable.

I have a new philosophy, I can’t save the world but I can help a few. Ever since I have been operating within that paradigm, my life has been saner. I’ve been more fulfilled. For some people to wake up, everybody has to fucking leave them. That’s what it takes for some people to wake up and make changes.

I don’t believe in Karma. I believe in cause and effect. Sometimes, you can do something very bad and the effect is breathtakingly good. I have done some stuff and I couldn’t believe the effects. I couldn’t believe it.

Here’s a quick lesson. If you believe in Karma, what you’re doing is programming your subconscious mind to punish you when you fuck up. People who have not programmed themselves that way can do all kinds of things and not suffer any ill consequences. I know that’s going to blow your mind, but it’s true.

When you are looking at changing yourself and trying to climb the ladder, the biggest thing that is going to help you is to have long-term goals for your life. If you want to get married and have kids, put it on your goal sheet. Writing down your goals is key for success.

When people begin to realize that hard work by itself is not getting them where they want to go, they are beginning to wake up. They are beginning to connect the dots. Many people become frustrated and they get off the path.

People have to sit down and come up with better answers to get better results with less work. It’s the opposite of what we’re told about what we should do to be successful. Hard work plays a role to a degree; but strategy, positioning and your mental environment is more important. Once you understand that, you can start to truly evolve and effect change.

If you want to change your life, learn how to navigate the paradox of change. The sooner you can do that and not worry about the fact that you are going to lose some people on your journey, the more successful you will be.
