How To Make Money From YouTube
You want to get rich quick? You want to make money on right now? Lean in. Lean in closer. I’ll tell you how you can make a lot of money. Making fat stacks takes work a four letter word people seem to have forgotten. If you’re looking for something easy and simple making money from Youtube is not the right thing for you. If you’re looking make a livable income from Youtube—if you’re willing to invest in the work—this video is going to you how to make a six figure income. So get ready to learn how to make money from Youtube.
Sell a physical product. Let’s assume that you already have a product to sell. You can set up an ecommerce storefront using a resource like Shopify, then produce videos that fit into your product’s niche. At the end of the videos, you can produce calculated (Call To Action) CTAs that funnel traffic to your product landing pages.
There’s obviously a lot more to it than this, but for all intents and purposes, that’s what the conversion funnel looks like. If you have a good product and your videos are simple and engaging, this funnel will work almost every time.
If your end goal is to actually make money from videos, there’s a far better option than simply relying on your measly allocation of ad revenue or adsense. Instead, create a YouTube channel and build an audience. The primary goal is to engage this audience and build a brand name. Then, once you’ve established a reputation, begin driving traffic to your own landing pages where you can up-sell viewers with premium video content. Attach a blog with corresponding articles and updates to your channel. Have a fly blog writer upload the content for you because she is awesome.
Start Three to Five Youtube Channels. Do you remember what a pen is and how to write with it? Good. Make a list of the following:
1. Things You Like
2. Things You Want To Do
3. Things You’re Good At
My personal three things would be:
1. Talking about Game of Thrones
2. Make my own marinara sauce
3. Writing professionally and creatively
This is your infrastructure. Your foundation. You can even make more youtube channels if you like but it’s good to start out with this premise. Why? Because if you bet on one of these horses one of them will probably win. But you gotta stick with it. Go check out the competition because believe me: all three of my ideas have very successful youtube channels already.
Don’t let the success of other Youtube channels deter you. As you make more videos you’ll hone in your skills. You’ll get better at creating content, video editing, making call to actions within your video. All of it. It takes practice. One of your channels will catch fire and you’ll start making money. You’ll roll in dough. It might not even be the channel you really wanted. I can tell you if I had to my marinara youtube channel started making all the money I wouldn’t be thrilled. Ain’t nobody got time to make—actually I stand corrected. Either way, trial and error is a great way to start.
HERE IS WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO.
Don’t tell your audience “I’m not selling anything.” In video marketing you are always selling something. Whether it’s your personality, or a product, or an idea. Hell, even the President is a product—he’s making Youtuber’s lots of money (for better or for worse I’ll let you decide). So if straight out of the gate you say, “I’m not selling anything” or “I’m not here to sell you something” it’s already a lie. Your youtube audience likes it when you’re straight with them so be straight with them. If your content is banging they will buy.
You have to have a lot of grit and entrepreneurial spirit when starting a youtube channel. Especially if you’re doing it for money. But with enough time and practice you can make a livable income off of youtube and then you’ll be teaching other people how to make money from Youtube.
