How to Change Your Life in 30 Days or Money Back – The Entrepreneur Life

I want you think about whether you are seeking information or change. I often get this question about what keeps me motivated. People want to know what led to start five companies and fail and to continue on. I’ve started 15 businesses now, and except for those first five businesses, everything else has been successful.

I’ve thought about what keeps me motivated. I used to work in a hospital. There was this old guy who was a German POW who had cancer throughout his body. When I’d go in his room, he always had a smile on his face and greeted me. I think I made a decision based on my encounters with him. If he could still smile and be in that much pain, I didn’t really have problems. I think I internalized that experience, but never explained it.

I believe every day is a blessing. I feel that every day is precious because I was sick and almost died. It’s funny now, but a booty call literally saved my life. I had four bleeding ulcers. If I had stayed home, I would have bled out. I wouldn’t be here.

I’ve had a lot of harsh experiences. I know what it’s like to be hungry. I know what it’s like to “not have” and to want stuff. The accumulation of all those things keeps me motivated because I don’t want to be 95 or 100 years old with a pocketful of regrets.

The reason I asked if you are seeking information or change is because I know that until you want to change, nothing is going to change. You know how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. Many of you want to stay in the caterpillar stage.

Some people want the information and they almost change. But, they don’t have enough drama in their life to motivate change. I think that is where a lot of you are. There’s not enough pain to force you to change.

If you step out of your comfort zone and go work in a nursing home or somewhere where you can see how bad things can get, then I don’t think you’d have any problems changing. Seeking information is good, but you have to take it a step farther. Use that information to change.

I constantly embrace change. I constantly embrace the truth. There are some uncomfortable truths. One uncomfortable truth for me is I was fat as hell. It was starting to impact my health. I didn’t do anything about it until it became painful.

I think that is where a lot of you are. The pain will have to be dire enough for you to change.

I was having digestive problems. Now I’m spending $2500 a month on a chef.

Don’t sit on the information. This is the thing. If you take that Craigslist book and apply yourself, at a minimum, you’re going to make $300 to $500 your first month. But, if you get that book and you go through it and you do absolutely nothing, that’s what is going to happen – nothing.

Many of you are waiting on magic jelly beans. You’re waiting on this app or something to hack.

I was talking to a guy today who is a millionaire. This is what he told me. He has a 65-unit apartment building. He has a great company. He said the first eight years of his company were an absolute terror. He said there were so many times when payroll was due and he was in the negative. Somehow he made it happen, over and over and over again. His company is 11 years old. He just got clear from all the problems.

Many people will argue with me, saying you need to move everything online. They say you need to get a funnel. You need to do Facebook advertising and all this other stuff. But cold calling still works. Billboards still work. Commercials still work. But, it’s hard. It’s hard to facilitate change.

Question: What do you think about cold calling versus using an online funnel?

Answer: Here’s the deal. You call until you can’t call anymore and you’re going to get some business. If you’re raw and untrained, it’s just going to take you more phone calls.

I think fear is a very big problem for a lot of people. If you are afraid, you become paralyzed and won’t act. But if you don’t change, you’re going to have a lot of regrets down the road.

I’ve had to create new dreams because I did everything I wanted to do. I feel very humbled by that because I didn’t think there was anything special about that. When you look at how other people live, you realize it is pretty awesome and special.

Okay, this is what I want you to do. I want you to find an emergency room you can volunteer in or a nursing home. I want you to get around some old people. I’ve seen two types of old people. There are those who have lived a good and full life and who are happy. They’re joyful and there is a twinkle in their eyes.

There are also those folks full of regrets. Time has literally run out. This is why I am so motivated. People tell me my work ethic is crazy. I don’t work that much compared to what I used to do in the storage auction business. I don’t see it as a lot of work.

I guarantee it if you have a problem being motivated, go volunteer at a nursing home. You will see people with no fingers and toes. It will motivate you. Just find a home. They will be glad to have you.

How to Start a Business Today and Fix Your Credit

There are a lot of people who say, “I don’t know where to start. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what’s going on.”

I’m going to give you a list of service businesses. Everything I am giving you is something you can start today and make money from today.

Let’s start with mobile detail and a car wash. Now it sounds like it’s the same thing, but it’s not. A car wash is stationary and a mobile detail can go to the customer. You could post ads on Craigslist and Facebook. You can post ads on Nextdoor.

A Lawn service is another business to consider. You cut grass during the summer and you rake up debris and brush during the fall. You can advertise on Craigslist, Facebook and Nextdoor.

Junk Haul Off – There are a lot of people who need a lot of stuff hauled off. You need a strong back and a truck and you can make money. You can advertise on Craigslist, Facebook and Nextdoor.

Janitorial Service – You go around to small office parks and businesses to offer your service.

Residential Cleaning – Now that’s a little tricky. The way I found my maid was through Next Door from a referral. Once you get into your first house you have to ask if they have any friends that need your service.

Power Washing – You get a power washer and a truck. You do the job that day and you get paid that day. You can power wash houses, decks, and pools.

Window Cleaning – You do the job that day and you get paid that day.

Personal Chef – I have a person chef. The way it works is I give her money for groceries and at the end of the week I pay her for her services. You’ve got to network. I got my chef off of Nextdoor and we’ve had a lovely relationship ever since.

Dog Walker – This a good way to make money if you are in an area where there are a lot of pooches. You can offer people who are out walking their dog your services.

Household Manager/Nanny – This type of service is needed by busy professional couples with kids.

Social Media Manager – I’m going to break this up. You can literally be an Instagram specialist. You can be a YouTube specialist. You can be a Facebook specialist. You can be an email specialist. You can be a Facebook Ad Manager specialist. You can be an AdWords Manager specialist.

You’re going to have to present proof of concept. That is imperative if you want to make money as a social media manager.

All of these are things you can start today if you have the skills. You can make money. These are businesses. In the beginning, you do not need to form an LLC. You don’t even need a business card. You just need the ability to go out and hustle.

Whatever you pick, you’ve got to have the heart and mind and soul to go up to someone and say, “Hey, can I do XYZ for you?” That’s what you have to do. You’re not going to get these people online.

In the beginning, you’ve got to have the ability to cold call. You’ve got to be able to do that stuff. That’s why “old school” tactics such as cold calling, cold emailing and cold DMing are so important to get your business off the ground.

Those are some businesses you can start if you are one of those people who say you don’t know where to start or what to do.

Now, how do you get business? You have to have the cold approach. When you are small and don’t have a lot of money, you have to have the ability to talk to people.

Listen to me. If you’re brand new without a lot of reach and education and you go out and put some stuff on Facebook ads or Instagram ads, you can get some traction, right? But you’re not going to get as much traction if you don’t have organic advocates. That’s referrals.

You have to be able to gain trust. That’s a thick barrier. Once you get past the trust barrier, it’s like people are saying, “Take my money.”

I took a referral for my maid from somebody I did not even know. I got the referral from Nextdoor. I called the first person and she came in and did a great job and I’ve been using her ever since. You have to get past the social media aspect of it in the beginning.

Social media can work great once you get started and have some people working for you. But, when you are broke, have no money and no referrals, you have to grind. Grinding is talking to people and putting yourself out there.

You don’t have to start a business as an LLC right at the start, unless you’re in a business where you need to be covered. Because I didn’t really deal with anybody or sell hazardous materials, I didn’t have to do a LLC.

I decided to do an LLC though, because YouTube has this policy if you get deleted, then you can’t have another channel. With so many YouTube channels, they don’t really have to give you a second chance. But, if you start a channel as an LLC and it gets busted, you can start another one.

Once you’re up and running, you should have a name, a brand and an LLC to protect yourself. Your second step after incorporating is to hire somebody even if hiring someone takes all of your money. You want to grow.

You need to hire right away because you need to learn how to hire people. You need to learn how to manage people. You need to learn how to put systems in place. This is going to take some time. This is going to take some months.

Once you do this, your business will fly. The business operates whether you are sick or not. Every time you get a customer, you ask for referrals. If you do that over and over again, it is going to build. It becomes part of the corporate DNA. You’re going to make bread.

Now, let’s talk about credit. When you start making that extra money, you should be making deals. Let’s say you have an extra $2500 for bills. You can go to a collection accounts and say, “I will pay you $2500, but it must be deleted.” You tell them, “If it’s not going to be deleted, I’m not going to pay you a dime.” It doesn’t benefit you if it is not deleted. You have to use the word deleted.

You want to pay the grantor not the collection company. Once you pay the grantor, then you challenge the debt showing up under the collector, because it is no longer correct. Essentially the grantor is going to give the collector their money and the debt will be wiped out.

Also, what you’re going to do is get a secured credit card from Wells Fargo, Bank of America or US Bank. You want cards that convert. Let’s say you’re Broke Dick Danny and you have $1500 a month coming in and you start a lawn service on the side. You want to get a secured credit card with a $5K limit.

You have to increase your income so that you can fix your credit at the same time.

We have become a “kick the can down the road” society. I saw some stuff today and it was about this Amazon affiliate program. Everyone said they signed up for it and it was great. Anyone can become an affiliate of this program, right?

It just hit me that he is making money for real from selling this course. He’s not making the money from Amazon. I see this stuff and wonder what it is. The it hit me, I realized you do not care as long as you get some bread. You don’t really care where it comes from or how it comes as long as you get some. I think morally as a society, we have gone the wrong way.

I’m just saying this because we have so many people that want to experience some success. They want to have a little taste and get some money. I totally get that. But, if you keep kicking that can down the road, there is a little less meat in it. It ends of becoming an empty can. It gets to the point where there is nothing left for anyone else.

I think we are at that point because there are so many people who just can’t really do it. I was looking at some people who started on YouTube when I did. They put up videos and they get like 80 or 100 views. YouTube has officially killed their channels. YouTube will not send a signal to all of their subscribers. It’s really, really bad.

I was looking at how hard it is to get put on. I was wondering, what if I wasn’t in this position. What if I was Broke Dick Danny. What if I was that person who needed some help. Would I have this viewpoint of wanting to do it the right way.

I can answer that yes. This is something I’ve never told anyone. When I was in the boarding house there was an opportunity for me to sell drugs. At that particular time, four out of seven guys in the house were selling drugs. The next thing I know a couple of the guys in the house are selling. They’ve got a little money. They felt good about themselves, right.

They came to me and they were like, “Hey big man, you want to get a little piece of this action?”

I said, “No.”

AT the time, I was hungry. I didn’t have any food. I had like $20 on me until payday which was like four or five days away. I said “No.” I had a feeling that something really jacked up was going to happen and it did. All of them got arrested. One guy ended up dead. Then a new group of people moved into the boarding house and I knew I had to get out of there.

I sat that story because there is this thing of honor that is not really online. You have a lot of people claiming to be reputable and honorable who say they are going to hook you up, right. They are literally just passing on the information or kicking the can down the road, but the can is empty. You have a lot of people that are doing that stuff.

Here’s the thing. The people who are kicking the can down the road are going to win in the short term. They’re going to make a lot of money. Because they got it sleazy, they don’t really have good work ethics. They won’t be successful long-term.

The scammers will make like crazy money. It can make people think they should abandon their principals. Then you realize their success is going to be very short-lived.  

Most of these guys are very young. They’re really smart. They know how internet audiences operate. It’s all about immediate gratification, no building and fast money. It’s all about fast money, fast cars and fast women.

I have actually seen this before. I am actually old enough that I have seen this before. I know how it is going to end up. It’s not going to end up really well for a lot of them. We have some hustler philosophy going on tonight.

It’s sad that this type of thing is going on, but it is an opportunity for those of you who want to do it right.

A lot of people on Amazon are making most of their money on course sales instead of on Amazon sales. They make enough money for some great screenshots, but they make their money off of the courses. I know a lot of these people.

I know people who are doing Amazon and who have done Amazon and they aren’t making these kinds of profits. Yet for some reason, you’ve got people saying they made $20 million, right? I think they may have made $1 million from Amazon and $4 million from course sales.

Since I sell courses, I know how profitable they can be. Let’s say you’re one of those Amazon sellers and you’re doing a million a year gross. So, you’re really bringing home $80K to $150k a year from your million dollars.

Let’s say you add a course to it. All of a sudden, you’re now bringing home $300K a year because you have $100K from teaching and mentoring.  That’s one of the ploys. They are really doing Amazon because they’re really selling stuff. They just aren’t making as much money as you think they are.

Amazon is very, very sketchy because you don’t know what’s happening with Amazon from day to day. As long as you stay under a million dollars, you’ll be fine. Once you get to $2 or $3 or $4 million you start running into problems.

Here’s the thing, we’ve got this kick the can down the road society, right? I see it with young guys mostly. young guys out there mostly. You make the money by any means necessary. If we have to lei a little bit, no problem. If we have to stretch the truth, no problem.  

I have a course out there and I tell people if your financial situation is janky, don’t buy my course. I say, “If you’re going to be put in harm’s way, don’t buy my course.” I tell them, “It’s going to take you time to see the benefits.” If you feel like you have to spend your rent money to buy my course, I’m going to tell you not to buy it. Certain unscrupulous guys will tell you to do that.

How to Sell Your Products for Top Dollar to Anyone Anytime

I’m going to teach you how to sell your products for top dollar to anyone anytime. Now this is going to sound very, very strange. You don’t need a product or service. That’s not the first thing you need. What you need is a customer who has a need. Too many people try to sell something to the wrong person. When you’re trying to sell something to the wrong person, you are left wondering why selling is so hard.

Selling should not be a struggle. Selling should be a process of elimination. Let me explain.

Let’s start off with a car. It’s an Audi S4. It’s a 14-year old car. There’s a lot of people who would not want this car. There are a number of people who do want this car. My job is not to talk to people who do not want the car. My job is to find people who want the car and will pay me $12K to $14K for it used.

This is the biggest secret to selling. You have to have a customer who wants what you are selling. You have to have a customer who trusts you to sell it to them. Trust is a big part of this.

Let’s say someone watches a video in my course, Hustle Camp. Then they say, “I don’t like this guy.” They might say, “He seems sketchy. I don’t really know about that Glendon Cameron.” They’re not going to buy.

It can sound good. It can look good. But, they’re not going to buy. Now what I have to do is create an environment of trust. I have to put out content and display through lifestyle evidence that I am living well. That is called subconscious selling.

When I tell you I have a chef and a maid, it is on purpose. When I tell you I live in a very nice neighborhood with millionaires, it reinforces the subconscious selling. Many people don’t know this, but many times when someone is trying to sell you something, it is a “No” based on the salesperson and not the sales presentation or the product.

Years ago, I used to sell cars at Union City Chrysler Plymouth. There was this guy by the name of Ron Valentine. Ron looked the part. He had the gold Rolex. He looked put together. He would go in and he wouldn’t be very salesy. He would go in and say, “My name is Ron.” He’d spend 15 minutes just talking to people.

He would not talk about the car or the features. He’d ask, “What are you looking for?” Then he’d say, “Let’s go look at this.” He had a step by step process.

First, no matter what they said, he’d take them to the lowest price bare bones model. He’d say “First let’s look at this, and if you want something nicer, I will show it to you later.”

This is one of the things that Ron Valentine knew. If you sell someone on the upper line vehicle and they can’t get financed, the deal would be a “No Go.” He would gently insert them into the basic model and look for their reaction.

Ron was a master salesperson. He learned how to relate to customers. Instead of taking them to the high-end models because he wanted to get more commission, it worked better to form a bond of trust like Ron did. He looked the part. He was easy going. He never actually pushed for the sale, until it became time to be a salesperson.

One of the important things you must know in sales is when to chill, when to sell and when to push the customer. It’s like a dance.

Let’s go back to Union City Chrysler Plymouth. You have this van, the Chrysler Caravan. There is this family that comes in and they need a van, but you don’t know what their pockets look like. You can’t assume incorrectly that their pockets are fat because what they will do is go to another dealership and buy what they could have bought from you. That’s something I learned from Ron.

So, the first thing is, have a customer who wants what you have to sell and who needs it and is willing to pay. Second, you must create an atmosphere of trust. You must befriend the customer.

The third part to selling anything to anybody at any time is closing the deal. This is an extremely important skill set to learn. You must know the appropriate time to close the deal. This is the part where it gets a little tricky.

These windows that open can close and open at any time. Let’s go back to my car. We’re selling the Audi and the guy comes in. His eyes are wide and he’s looking at it. He wants it. I said, “Here’s the keys, give me $12,500 and it’s yours.” He said, “Ok.” He’s ready to buy. There is no dance to be done. There’s no point in discussing features and benefits. He’s ready to buy. You can see it.

Let’s say another guy comes here to buy the Audi, but he’s like, “I don’t know.” He kicks the tires. He looks at it. He looks at the mileage. He’s kind of laying back and says he doesn’t really know about this. He points out some negatives about the car. “There are some problems with the paint. It looks like there is some curbing on the wheels.” He is so ready to buy, but he has to buy in his own good time.

The more negatives that they bring up, the more they want it. They are trying to get to a certain price point. This is what I’d say to that guy. “It’s clear that you want the car. Where do you need to be?” If he says, “I need to be at $12K.” I’d say, “For $12,200, it’s yours.”

So, you can sell anybody anything at any time, but you must do your homework. You must know you are selling to the right person.

Let’s go with Hustle Camp. It’s not for everybody. It’s not for everyone who reads this blog. I know this. Certain people are going to come along and buy Hustle Camp. So, my job is to present, to provide trust and to provide proof.

It’s not that complicated. This is where most people go wrong. They want to make the sales process super complicated. They want to build out all of these funnels.

How do you get sales experience? You must start selling something. It’s just that simple. You can’t hack it or fake it. You must go out and try to sell something to someone. In the beginning, like it was for me, it’s going to be hard and challenging and you will make many mistakes. But, that’s where you learn.

I’m going to lead you down a path that led me to come to some conclusions maybe three years ago. We have something that no one is talking about. We have the largest educated underclass group of people that we’ve ever had. That’s right. It’s the new lower class who are highly educated and poorly paid. This trend will not reverse itself.

People who work in the fields they get their degree in, on average, do make more than high school graduates. But when you pull out those select degrees, and there are just a few dozen of them, the difference between a high school graduate and a college graduate is very marginal. This is stuff you see every day.

When you go to Starbucks and Walmart and you speak to that well-spoken person that makes $8.50 per hour, they have a degree. They were taught a few things that are just not relevant in this new economy.

There was this documentary on educated Canadians who are going through tough times finding work. Understand, Canada has a bigger social net than the USA does. This group is extremely educated and frustrated. This is where the sharing economy is beginning. There are some winners in this group of people who got a degree and they just can’t seem to find a job that rewards them for their efforts.

So, what these educated people are doing is creating their own things. They’re using their talents and networks to create other networks out of necessity. If these people were allowed to participate in the economy as it is now, they would not be motivated to start their own things. Out of necessity, they are creating this other economy.

There is the traditional economy. There is the underground economy. There is the secondary market which is the exchange of used items, which includes eBay, Craigslist and garage sales. Now there is the sharing economy.

The sharing economy is really hot right now. It strikes at the core of what I’ve been preaching for years. Create your own economy. A person in a town of 20,000 people that comes up with a service for 4000 of those people in that town could become a millionaire.

What you’re seeing here is when you create the sharing economy or your own economy, you don’t have to have hundreds of thousands or millions of customers to be extraordinarily successful. The reason is because you are getting more of the pie.

Let’s use the example of being an author. Imagine in your mind a pie chart. Fifty percent of the pie is gone; that’s going to the retailer. Twenty seven percent of what is left is going to the publisher. So, seventy-seven percent is gone before you even get paid. The, you have to take out another seven percent for their attorney or agent. So, the writer is left with 16%.

That’s why it is so hard for authors to make a living. Other people are making 77% before they get paid in the traditional economy. That’s why people think you have to have these huge networks to make any money. It’s based on where you are in the food chain. If you create the food chain, you get more of what’s going through the assembly line. If you’re just a cog in the machinery, you get what you can get.

Essentially, you can create a small company and maintain great margins and make more money in outback USA than someone who has mainstream exposure. For example, as a self- published author myself, I make more money selling significantly less books than authors published by mainstream companies. I know this to be true because I am living that life. My first 14 months as a self-published author, I made $62K which is a living wage. No, you’re not getting rich off of $62K, but there’s a lot of people who would like to make $62K.

A lot of people are suffering. There are many people who are suicidal because they don’t know what they are going to do. I am not happy that I am right about college degrees becoming worthless. I’m not happy at all.

To be really clear, education is extremely important to your success. Getting a degree is only one form of education. It is touted as the holy grail of all education even though it has significantly lost its luster and earning power for most people.

The narrative is so powerful in favor of getting a degree that people will support your decision to get one, even though the empirical evidence does not support that decision in most cases. People are finally waking up, and they are waking up to a very ugly nightmare.

Here’s a website I want you to check out. It is sharable.net. You will find all kinds of crazy stuff here. There are some great ideas. You might find some information that will help you move some items you’ve had a hard time moving. There is some good information on some real issues that I think you should read.

This is very exciting. It is not something to be afraid of if you have the right knowledge. If you are a sheep with your head in the sand, this could be scary. For those of you paying attention and who know what’s going on, this is going to be an incredibly lucrative period of time for you.

I predict that in the next thirty years or so, the “sharing economy” is going to be the way and it’s going to continue to grow. I think we’re just coasting now compared to what’s going to happen in five to eight years. There is something brewing in some kid’s mind that I already know is going to make me money.

You can sell services. You can rent out your car or your house today. There are so many new ways to earn money in the “sharing” economy. This woman on Zaarly is coaching people on how to have conversations. You could sign up now and start selling something.

You will make so much money if you do this one thing. If you want to make consistent money every day while you are asleep and awake, you’ve got to do this one thing. It’s called the activity stack.

I know you’re saying, “Glendon, I’m busy. I’m doing stuff.”

“No, you’re not doing this. You’re not even close to this activity stack.”

Let me give you some examples of what just happened to me employing that activity stack.

I’m in a hotel right now. I flew first-class. I always fly first-class because you never know who you are going to meet in first-class. On this flight, I met an investment banker and we’re going to do a deal. That happened before I got to this event. Because I was doing the activity stack, I got a deal. He does capital investments.

Activity Stack #2 – I came here early because the event does not start until tomorrow. I know the best networking happens outside of the event. I met another guy I am going to do a collaboration with and I also met some other folks.

So, two things out of three have already happened and the event has not even started. Now, why is that? It happened because you must do more than is required.

This is what messes up Dry Dick Danny. He says things like, ‘I did some stuff, right? I listed five things on Craigslist and I did a little eBay and some other stuff and I haven’t made any money.”

Let me tell you why. You haven’t even scratched the service of what you have to do. You have to use simple math. If you’re putting stuff on eBay and you put up 100 listings and you sell 25, then your sell-through rate is about 25%. So, you have to increase your sell-through rate to make more money.

You have to list five times as much stuff to get five times the results. So, let’s say you have 500 listings, then all of a sudden, you’re selling 125 things per day. The sell-through rate is the same, but your activity level is not.

On this YouTube channel, you will see me employ this activity stack. One – I have a video that releases at 8am, right? I’m going to try to do some more stuff at the end of the conference. I’ll do a live stream or a wrap up or some stuff like that.

The average YouTuber puts up one to three videos a week. I’m putting up five to ten. I am winning because my activity is higher. Until you get where you want to be, your activity level has got to be through the roof.

Let me give you the deconstruction of the activity stack. First, you have to establish a baseline. One of the things you have to do with the baseline is you have to evaluate what yields a specific result.

Before you get into the activity stack, you have to do some work. You have to do some experimentation. You have to do some vetting. This will take you a month or two or three. You have to figure some stuff out.

I’ll give you an example. What I am going to do is create a fashion brand. If you buy my course, you’ll get the shirt. If you don’t buy the course, the shirt is going to be an outrageous price, something like $200 or $300.

The thing is, it is not going to be a regular shirt. This shirt is going to be nice. It’s going to be thick. There are going to be hoodies and sweat pants too.

I’m going to name the company soon. I will show you as I do it. This won’t be about theories. This is something I’ve been working on for a long, long time.

Another thing about the activity stack, is let’s say you have this activity over here and it’s five times normal. Imagine 4 funnels of activity. In one of them you are killing it at five or ten times normal activity. But in these other ones, you are only doing two or three times normal activity levels because it’s going to take time for these things to flesh out.  

If you go hard and just kill it in all of your activity funnels, you’re going to burn out. That’s a consideration. But, the thing is you have to have activity funnels. You have your main funnel where you’re killing it at five to ten times normal. Then you’ve got your other funnels where you have stuff going on in the background.

Essentially, you have a lot of stuff going on and this is where the money comes in. Because you are doing so much, money can’t help but be generated. The amounts will vary. But when you raise your activity to unprecedented levels, it’s insane how much money you can make.

Most folks are in this situation. They want to do something, then sit back and wait for the results. If the results are good, they move forward. If the results are not good, they sit back some more.

That is dangerous and this is why. Once you get some momentum, you have to keep it going. Momentum begets momentum. When you create activity and then wait for results, you lose momentum. When you lose momentum, you lose time. When you lose time, you lose money.

The thing about the activity stack is you have to keep things going. It’s going to be hard at times, because there won’t be any money coming in. That is the big mental trick. You have to keep your focus for months, it’s not going to happen in a month or two. You’re going to have to have high activity levels for months.

On my YouTube channel, I’ve got about $2700 coming from AdSense. Then on my Gumroad, I’ve got about $500. Then I have prepayments coming in too. So, essentially before the month started, I had $7K coming in from my activity stack from the previous month.

Understand, this isn’t anything. I still feel like we’re crawling. When my activity stack gets to the point where I have $100K or $200K, I’ll feel like, “I’m the man.” But until then, I am still grinding out here.

One of the things you’ve got to do is get your grind to shine. I’m going to ask you a few things and I want you to be honest. How much TV do you watch? If your answer is more than five hours a week, you aren’t grinding hard enough. How many video games do you play? If you’re playing two or three hours of video games a day, you’re not grinding hard enough. If you’re grinding hard enough, you should have only an hour or two per day for those types of time-wasting activities.

You have to stretch yourself and do more than you think you can do. If you don’t, the person who is willing to do it will beat you. Remember, there is no limit to how much money is out there. One of the things you have to do is see yourself making money before you make it.

Until you take massive action, you will not make the money you want. Don’t keep looking for the hottest business. If you continue to look for the perfect business, you will wait forever. Pick something and start.

Today we’re going to talk about how to work hard without killing yourself. This is something I know a little bit about since I almost killed myself from working too hard.

What you’ve got to do is actually learn how to work. What I mean is when you have a task or something you need to do, you actually work by taking the Facebook app off the phone and get rid of distractions. Seriously, if you work four to six hours a day, you’ll get more stuff done than people working and being distracted and talking at the water cooler.

Seriously, six to eight hours a day of solid work and you will be exhausted. You will literally get more done in one day than you do in a week doing these other forms of working.

To cut out distractions, you will put your phone on silent. This is a really big one. Many people think if their phone rings or they receive a text, it demands immediate attention. It does not need an immediate response. My phone has been on silent for the last 10 years. What’s funny is when someone really needs me, they can get a hold of me.

Essentially, take your first hour or two of the day and turn it into productivity time. Let’s talk about your hour of power. Don’t even brush your teeth. Skip that morning routine stuff and just go to work for at least an hour and you will see your productivity improve. I’m serious.

Another way to work really hard without killing yourself is to take breaks. You can take a break every thirty minutes or every hour. Take a five or ten-minute break and then go right back to work. You get up. You walk around. You stretch and do all this other stuff. Then you go back to work.

Another thing you can do is learn your biorhythms. I’m a morning person, so my power hours are from 5 am until about roughly 2pm. At about 2pm, I start flaking out. I can still work, but my effective hours are between 5 am to 2 pm. That’s when I do my most important tasks.

Another thing you need to do is get a schedule. Keep the schedule the same even on your off days. This is so important. If you’ll notice, when someone goes on vacation it usually takes them a day or two to get back in the groove. If you don’t get out of the groove, you don’t have to get back in the groove.

That’s something that folks struggle with. When people want to be off, they don’t want to bother with anything. They don’t want to check the phone. For high levels of productivity, that doesn’t work.

If you want to edge up your game, create a calendar for yourself, meaning you are going to plan out your month. Then, when you get good at planning out your month, you’re going to plan out your year. Every day you wake up with an agenda. That will improve your productivity and bring you up to a high level.

There may be some days you’re feeling a little tired and that’s ok. Typically, when you’re trying to work this schedule out, it’s going to be a little draining. If you’re not used to working, it will have an impact on your health. It’s not going to be anything dramatic. Take a nap in the middle of the day if you need to. Just do whatever you need to do.

It’s probably going to take you six to eight weeks to really figure this out because you’ve never worked like this before. Then it’s probably going to be another two months before you get a really good schedule. It’s going to take some time playboy.

It’s well worth the effort. You’ve eliminated the distractions. You’ve got your golden hour. You’ve got your month planned out. You’ve got your year planned out.

You will have days when you’re not going to complete your tasks. There are going to be days like that. Some days, you’re going to complete everything. In the beginning, a 50% to 70% completion rate is very good considering you aren’t used to working this hard.

That’s good for the first six months. Then you increase it five or ten percent per month. That way you can be operating efficiently in nine months to a year. You will be able to create an online course in no time.

When I say high productivity, I mean you can write a book in a week. You can create an online course in 30 days. There are so many things you can do. It’s not about being smart. It’s not about being brilliant. It’s really about sitting your ass in a chair and working.

It gets a little boring. That’s the thing you have to manage with your mind. You have to continue to push forward even if it’s a little bit of an off week and you’re just getting 50% to 60% of your tasks done.

That’s cool. Ride it out. Pat yourself on the back and try and get 65% the next week. You keep going and you get stuff done, then when you look back and you see that all these things are done, you want to do more.

It’s like putting money in the bank when you first start saving. It’s really hard to put that money in the bank in the beginning, right? But then when you see it stack, it gets exciting and you want to add more.

It becomes a game. That is the same thing that happens with these productivity hacks. These tips should be enough to get you started.  If you want more, go to Patti and say I want the Power of Six.

There are a lot of people out there who want to do something at a higher level than their current situation will allow. That is problematic. I have no doubt in my mind that you can do it. You can do anything you want to if you’re willing to pay the price and put in the time.

The time is not six months and it’s not a year. It’s not three years or four years. It’s 10, 20 or 30 years.

Do you think these guys who own the Saints or the Atlanta Falcons earned their fortunes in a decade? It took decades. That is where the conversation needs to be.

You can do whatever you want to do if you have a long-term view of what you want. This is the thing that is killing me with you folks who don’t want to work hard. Everybody wants to hear that after six months or a year, then they will be good. No, that’s not true.

It takes a certain amount of time to fully flesh out your concept because there is what you want to do and what you can do. Then, there is what is possible. Until you do what you can do, you don’t know what is possible. I’ll explain that.

Let’s say you’re trying to start a tire shop. You start it, then you notice the money is actually in the rims and the suspension. Then you decide to create the best rim and suspension shop. Next, you have customers asking for tinting.

Another customer comes in and they say, “I love these rims. Could you fully customize my car?” Then you fully customize the car and you realize, that’s the best thing ever. Now you have a customized car shop. It took you about ten years to get to this point.

That is why I say, just get started. Start something. You could end up 180 degrees from your origination point to something greater and better. That type of thing happens all the time.

I’ve got a car that you can tune-up. There are not that many places that can do a tune or do modifications. So, when you go from that tire shop up to that modification shop, we’re talking 20, 30, 40 times the money.

To do a chip for this car which adjusts the timing and ignition was about $600. I know it took like 30 seconds or 30 minutes or something like that. Then it costs me $1500 to lower the car. As you can see, specialization into something can be really huge.

Until you get started and stay started and begin to go through that process of discovery, you’re not going to know. You have to have a long-range plan. I know you want it to be fast so you can be off with Big Booty Betty because of some fantasy you have, but you may need to be with Slim Susan who can be Sexy Susan.

It may take you five, six, seven years, ten years before your business blows up. Many of you are trying to put the cart before the horse. I can’t tell you how many people have approached me like Broke Dick Danny asking me, “What do you have that’s not too expensive where I can be earning $5K to $10K a month? I only have about $100. Can you help me out?”

Let’s explore that request. You want to explore $100, $200, or $300 for something that can literally make you hundreds of thousands of dollars over a few years. Yes, saying it out loud does make it sound crazy, because you are.

Hustle Camp is not for everyone. If you see the value and figure out a way to get in there, it’s lifechanging. It’s $1350 right now. You go through Hustle Camp and you apply yourself, because if you don’t apply yourself, it isn’t going to do anything for you. Let’s say you’re making an extra $500 or $600 a month. Over the course of a year, you’re going to be up $7K.

As Hustle Camp grows, you get buy-in now and you save yourself money. Now three years from now, you’re up $40K, $50K or $60K off of your $1350 investment, I don’t know of any stocks that operate like that. I don’t know of any real estate or other investments that will give you that kind of return. I’m serious. I live this. I breathe this.

Just think about this. Your ideas are not wrong. Your concepts are not wrong, but your time lines are jacked up like you wouldn’t believe.

Here’s a rule of thumb. If you want to do something and you think it’s going to take three months or nine, multiply that times five. I know, you’re going to tell me that you know this guy, Hustler Shaggy 679 who started in January and he got Big Booty Betty and the Lambo six months later. You’ll say, “I’m going over here with Shaggy and I’m going to buy his Amazon course for $495 and I’m going to have Big Booty Betty.” I’m telling you, there won’t be any Big Booty Betty because you got scammed.

Do not use the exceptions as the rule.

Let’s go ahead and talk about my trajectory. It took me three years to mentally transform from Broke Dick Danny to Paid Percy. It took me another two years to go from “I have a job,” to “I am a business owner.” I have GC Solutions and I’m slinging that office furniture.

Then I got this wild hair to sell new furniture and realized that the profit margins were all out of proportion. The money was in selling used furniture. It was an easy decision. The next thing you know I was in the storage auction business which was for almost ten years.

Then the next thing you know, I’m here on YouTube which is now in its ninth year. I keep showing you what you need to do. But many of you are trying to get your money and Big Booty Betty fast.

The thing is you have to go through the process.

How to Make $25,000 to $100,000 on eBay, Craigslist and Amazon – a Tutorial

The first thing you need is a plan. The plan has to be bigger than you. It has to be scary big. You have to write down some numbers that make your heart beat fast. This is the only way you are going to propel your business to $25K to $100K per month. Take a day or two and write it out. Dream a little bit. Explore what you possibly want out of life.

The second thing you need is the vision. You don’t have to have it, but you need to be able to see it. You must be able to own it.

Let’s say you’re a regular guy working a job and you make $50K to $70K a year. There’s not a lot of money leftover at the end of the month, but you’re doing okay. I want you to close your eyes and see yourself living in the house you want and driving the car that you want. I want you to see yourself taking your family on vacations. I also want you to see yourself making more money than you need month after month.

Don’t go any further than that. Dream on that during the day. Sit back in your chair and close your eyes and just see it. You’ve got to do this.

The next thing you’ve got to do is get started. Essentially, you’re going to get started by starting eBay or Craigslist or Amazon by yourself. But, this is the thing. You’re going to do that for maybe a month or something. This is going to be something really strange.

You don’t have to know how to do eBay well or Amazon or Craigslist. I know you’re thinking you should become an expert at these. I’m saying, absolutely not. You want to get good enough to know what’s going on. That’s it for this plan.

Your orientation is not as a “worker bee” but as a manager. You need to work on your management skills. You need to read management books. You need to read sales books. You need to read marketing books. You have to become the organizational head of your business.

This is what you need $5K to $10K upfront right now. It’s because you are going to hire somebody as soon as you work out the basics. What this means is they are going to be sucking up a lot of money. They will be making more money than you initially.

Capacity comes in advance of the need. You have to build out the capacity and the infrastructure. If you don’t do that, your business will never get off the ground. Let’s be honest. There are going to be two or three or four times and you will hire someone and they won’t work out. That is normal. Hiring someone where they work out and are amazing is atypical.

After you get your management hat on. You will start creating processes and systems. For example, you need a standardized process for how to ship a box and how to fold a shirt. You have to build in procedures from day one.

Let’s say you are dominating the category. One of the biggest mistakes resellers make is thinking nobody can do it better than they do.

Now this is why you have to hire someone before this thing starts. You want to become accustomed to people who work for you and answer to you. That is a skill set you must build for this to work. Initially it will be you and one other person, because there won’t be enough to do for more people.

Essentially, you want to have so much to do that you have one person who is responsible for taking pictures and listing. Then, you want to have another person who is responsible for shipping. Then you want to have another person who is responsible for marketing. That’s four people. You can probably get by with three people for a while, but as you get to the higher income levels, you’re going to need four.

You really need a person dedicated to shipping. This is where things can fall apart. You need someone who will double check and triple check things who pays attention to detail.

Let’s talk about the domination of a category. This is something else that many small-time sellers do wrong. Let’s say you’ve made the decision to sell high-end women’s clothing. That means you are going to have to source very carefully. You’re going to have to source with passion. You’re going to have to go to consignment stores.

You can dominate high-end fashion. You can dominate watches. If you go on eBay right now, you will see people that sell nothing but Rolexes.

You can dominate high-end motorcycle parts. Whatever the category is, you have got to own it. Your listings should be so unique that everyone in the business knows it’s yours.

This is very important because what you will do by presenting a professional presentation is you will woo customers. You want to be known in that category. This works on Craigslist, Amazon and eBay.

For six months to one year, you need to roll all of the profits back into the business. This is going to be the hardest part of this. So, no money comes to you for six months to a year. I don’t’ care if you hit $100,000, you still go six months to a year. If you start taking money out too soon, you’re going to cripple the growth of your enterprise.

If you can hold out for a year, you’re probably easily going to crush the $25K goals and maybe the $100K goals.

If you follow these steps, in the beginning it is going to be very expensive. If you keep rolling your money into the business, you will start to see $25K, $35K or more in profit. This is the power of delayed gratification. If you put your head down and go to work, you’re probably going to exceed $20K, $30K, $40K, maybe $100K in sales your first 90 to 120 days.  

You’re going to need a building. Let’s talk about the kind of building you’re going to need. You could probably get away with 1000 to 2500 square feet. You’re going to want garage doors. You’re going to want a grade level door or a dock. You want to always be ahead of yourself since capacity comes ahead of the need.

If you get 1000 square feet, you can fill that up quickly. So, I’m going to say you need 2500 to 5000 square feet. Believe me, you will grow into that.

Now, you’re cooking. You’ve got your building. You’ve got your process and your people. Also, if you’re doing this right, you’re not directly involved in the business. You have people who are doing the sourcing and listings.

You have to have a steady supply of inventory. You have to overbuy. For the first six months, you’re going to be broke.

The key to this process is sourcing correctly and buying at the right price. You have to get your inventory at the correct price.

The secret is Super-Learning. I bought this book in probably 1998. I read this book when I was living in the boarding house. It’s 350 pages of information. I remember going through all of the exercises. I remember doing everything. I didn’t have anything else to do.

Now I just told you something. I was living in the boarding house. I didn’t have any money. I got this from Barnes and Noble; I remember that. The cover just spoke to me. I went through it and did all the exercises when I wasn’t doing anything else. What I was doing was preparing for my future.

There are many of you who are not where you want to be. It’s a long road. You’re not there. Right now, you’ve got time on your hands. You could be reading a book and preparing yourself for your future versus preparing for shortcuts. I know you’re looking for a quick come up. The reality is this is your quick come-up. It’s going to be as quick as possible, but you’ve got to put forth effort.

I put in 14 hours today and I’m doing this video. You can’t get anything done just talking. You must do.

Go on Amazon and get this book. See what you can do with it. It’s weird how things I did years ago help me to this day. Chapter 2 is on Super Memory. I did all the exercises. I absorbed the information.

If you’re broke and struggling and working the bullshit job, and you don’t have a car. Take your ass to university. If you read 12 books like this, it will separate you from a lot of people including college graduates.

I didn’t just read this book. I inhaled it. I went over it five or six times because it was so fascinating. I embodied the principles of this book. This book was written in 1979. This is the stuff that the kids who went to the fancy prep schools were doing. They weren’t doing the same things that you were doing in regular school. No. No. No.

A lot of you are going to have to get over yourself and realize that you are functionally ignorant. If you’re over 40, you’re going to have to get help from somebody and learn this new technology. This new technology does not care how old you are. You have to get with it or you get run over by it. That’s just reality.

I get people who say they don’t know how to use email. Learn. You can do it. Wake up your brain. Become that super person you can become.

Your ability to own the future is going to be predicated on your ability to learn. If you can go through this book two or three times, I guarantee you that you will see more money in your life. You will learn more tricks. You will learn how you work. This is the key to the future.

You need to learn how to learn better. Chapter 2 of this book is the reason I was able to remember all those storage auction stories. Sometimes you will see something and a memory flashes across your mind. That’s called a trigger. That memory was hooked to whatever triggered it.

You can do it intentionally. You can teach yourself how to remember better by hooking things together. That’s what I did. It’s weird because I don’t think of it consciously, I just do it.

If I meet someone and I want to remember them, I’ll say to myself, “Bob big nose.” I say that in my mind, not out loud. I’ll never forget their name if I do something like that. I might say, Barry bushy eyebrows or something similar. You can do those kinds of links.

This book is the secret. This is the inner game. This book cost me $10.95.

If you want to apply yourself, This book with the power of The Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murray are two ways to improve your inner game. Google it. Put yourself in an academic, intellectual mindset. You need to learn some stuff.

If you use Google or eBay, you don’t learn how to build a website. You don’t learn about marketing. There are so many things that you have to learn to be successful online because at any point all this stuff can disappear.

My YouTube channel could disappear tomorrow. It sure could. But you know what, thanks to Super- Learning and other things I’ve got going on, I could rebuild pretty quickly from scratch because I did it the first time. You have to cram good information in your head.

The new class war is about money. It’s not about race, it’s about money and intellectual capital. Money is not just cash or credit or money in the bank. The most valuable asset you can have is intellectual property because that creates money.

You could have no money in the bank right now and your head could be full of intellectual capital and you could be rich in ten years or two or three or four because you have the ingredients of wealth. That’s where we’re going.
