In this video, I’m going to explain how you can start an online business and video. These are some great times that we live in. The things you can do from home are insane.
The first thing you can do to make six figures from home is to become a digital marketing manager. What the hell is that? That is a person that manages the advertising ads like Facebook, Google, and AdWords for companies or individuals that need these services. It is very, very complex. It is really a lot to keep up with. Between running your business and running these ad campaigns, it can be overwhelming. So, this opportunity is going to grow.
Right now, with no degree, if you have one year of experience handling an AdWords account, you can make $60K to $75K a year. Experience is everything. Now, if you have two years of experience, you can expect to make $100K working from home. There are a ton of these jobs.
I would say, do this. Build your own internet products, Start building your ads and learn how to do it. Those skills are hot and in demand. Anybody who can help a business manage and gather leads is in high demand. This brings me to the second way you can make six figures from home.
A social media planner is someone who will go in and create a plan to be deployed that explains what to do and how to do it. It will spell out how to increase brand awareness for the year. It’s a big endeavor. This is not a matter of doing a few tweaks. This is putting together a strategic plan for that company. This is different than being a social media manager.
Many companies may be good at what they do, but they may suck at social media. If you’re a company and you have 100,000 Twitter followers and a bunch of Instagram followers and you can’t turn that into money, you are wasting your time and efforts. There was an article written about big followings entitled, Internet Famous and Broke.
The article discussed large followings of 100K to 1 million followers and how that translates to income. Many times, companies do not set these channels up to make money. That’s a big part of the problem. Solving that problem for companies offers a huge way for you to start earning some serious coin from home.
The third way you can make six figures a year from home is as a professional freelancer. This will take some skills. Professions that can be leveraged in this way include graphic designer, Excel expert, project manager and grant writer. This represents just a few of the skills that allow freelancers to work from home while earning impressive six-figure incomes. If you’re making $60K to $100K in your corporate job, then you can parlay that into a six or seven figure “work from home” business.
There was this lady I worked with when I was selling office furniture. She was a facility project manager. Many of these facility managers don’t have a great deal of expertise related to corporate moves. What she would do is orchestrate a company’s move. She made six figures per project and actually had six to ten projects a year. There just aren’t a lot of people with that skill set.
In your professional life, if you’re high on the food chain where recruiters are always calling you, you could double or triple your income working on your own. You have to be professional. You have to be known and have connections.
I am amazed at how many people don’t leverage their connections and relationships for referrals in this day and time. It’s insane. If you’ve got Grade A, top level connections, what you can do with that from a professional standpoint is ridiculous.
The fourth way you can make six figures from home is through a self-hosted ecommerce business. I have to use the word self-hosted, otherwise people immediately think of Amazon and eBay. There are literally tens of thousands of companies on the internet making seven or eight figures a year without either one of these sites.
I was browsing the internet the other day and I saw this company selling sunglasses. I went ahead and did my due diligence and saw they were selling out of those sunglasses. I went to Amazon and eBay and this company was not selling there. The website said something like, “Due to huge orders, please give us an extra 2 weeks to ship your glasses.” The glasses cost between $90 and $180 and they’re running out of stock. So, if you think you can’t do ecommerce without eBay and Amazon, I’m here to tell you that you can. You’ve got to believe you can do it so you create that kind of opportunity for yourself.
I’m going to give you an example. Right now, I have a lot of stuff going on. I’m creating an apparel company. I’m creating an agency and I’m putting a lot of money into video marketing. I’m going to tell you why.
I’m in a group with people you know and you’ve seen their ads on Facebook. They’re smart people and they make a lot of money. When I go in and start dropping out my deployment methods and what I do on YouTube, people are interested in finding out more. They are “friending me” and “inboxing’ me and asking for help. They want to know how they can work with me.
Video deployment to sell merchandise is going to be huge in the future. Right now, everyone is jumping on social media video. They are using it for awareness tactics versus “Hey, I want you to buy this stuff” tactics. It’s just huge.
