Success Is Not a Fucking Button to Push

If you don’t want to read it, you can watch this video.

I think it’s time to go back to the old way of doing things which is very brash and in your face. It’s time to get back to the original theme of this channel, which is hustling and making things happen.

Too many people keep talking about doing something, but they won’t take action. It’s boring. They won’t put in the work. That’s the reality. Everyone is looking for some magical jelly bean to success. Anyone who tells you that it is going to take some time is greeted with name calling and cries of “scam.” You want your success in 30 days or 90 days. If it’s going to take longer than 120 days, you’re crying about it.

If you want to be successful in life, it is going to take work. I’ve been working with one of my clients. We’re on month six. A lot of work has been done. They had a business before and they were willing to put in the work. Now, we’re seeing the results.

Now, I just said my client put in months and months of work. When someone tells most of you’ll that, you tune it out. One of the reasons a lot of you get scammed is because you are looking for an easy way out. If you weren’t looking for an easy way out, you wouldn’t get scammed.

The original principles of success have not changed. Work hard. Have a strategy. Learn from your mistakes. That’s the template.

I’ve really stopped reading a lot. There are so many books and programs coming out, but I keep going back to the originals like Earl Nightingale, Drucker, and even Tommy Hopkins back in the day. Some people thought Hopkins was a little over the top.

If you really want to be successful, you’re going to have to get it in your head, that there is going to be some hardship. It may be a learning curve. It may be a lesson you have to learn. It’s something. That’s just going to be the reality of this stuff.

One of the questions I get is: Should I post on YouTube every day? That’s the wrong question. The right question is: Is what I have to bring to YouTube relevant?

I’ve had many people come to me and I’ve told them, “That’s not going to work.” Then they come back to me and say, “It didn’t work.” Then I remind them, “No, it’s not going to work.” It’s not going to work because it doesn’t have the ingredients to work.

A lot of people love the whole notion of helping people out in need. But, when you asked someone, “Why are you in need?” and it’s not a medical emergency, people get touchy. Sure, shit happens. If you’ve been in need for the last four, five or six years, you’re the problem. No one wants to say that, but it’s true.

I’ve got people who have asked me so many questions and who have not taken the first step to do something. I don’t want to hear anymore excuses about not having money or the connections. My answer to that is: “Make them.” Make the money. Get a part-time job. Get two jobs. Get three jobs. Do whatever you need to do. Make something happen. At least, get started.

The biggest roadblock for new people on YouTube is getting the camera setup. Everybody wants to start with the easy stuff like the art and the iPhone videos. Let me just say this, “Are all your favorite videos iPhone videos?” Is CNN doing iPhone videos? The answer is, “No!” Why? Because it is insufficient.

The reality is that the competition is fierce. If you go in with an iPhone, people with good equipment are going to kick your ass. It only takes a few weeks with a DSLR and you’ll be in the game. That hard part of getting started and staying started is what is killing so many people. So many folks are so scared to do anything, but they will stay on the sidelines and continue to ask questions versus taking action.

I don’t know how many ways I can say it. I’ve said it for years. I’m not the smartest person in the room. I just work harder than most people. That’s really it. That’s my rant on that.

One of the challenges with introducing information to people is that folks aren’t really willing to accept the truth. I’m going to go back to bluntness. I think I’ve been too fucking soft. I think that’s the problem. I’ve been too damn understanding. I’m not going for the sob stories anymore. That shit changes today.

It’s going to take you some time to be successful. You need purpose and you need focus. I like to see people be successful.
